Stephanie Small has over 24 years of service in the nonprofit sector. She was the founding executive director of Free Arts of Arizona, a nonprofit organization that provides the healing effects of the arts to abused children. Stephanie’s entrepreneurial spirit and skills in strategic planning and fundraising took Free Arts from a small, grass roots start-up organization with a budget of $30,000 to a well-respected, award-winning $1.2 million agency, increasing hte number of children served from 50 per year to over 6,000 per year. Stephanie has also held posts as director of operations and education at the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra in Alexandria, Virginia, and as a campaign associate at Valley of the Sun United Way in Phoenix, where she raised $1.6 million. Stephanie is now Chief Synergist at Synergy Partners Consulting where she specializes in interim management, business and strategic planning, and training and facilitation in board governance and fundraising. She holds an MBA from the Eller School of Management at the University of Arizona.

Gicel received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and has experience working with nonprofits after years of volunteering for different organizations in the Valley. As the Lead Site Coordinator, she manages all the specifics related to the Arizona Saves financial education workshops, special events, and maintaining community partnerships associated with the organization and its programs.
